The Dallas Mavericks traded for Christian Wood to finally put a second star next to Luka Doncic. The Houston Rockets sent Wood to the Mavericks for essentially just roster filler and the 26th overall pick in the 2022 NBA Draft.

Christian Wood is going to be the perfect fit alongside Luka Doncic, being able to operate with Luka in the pick and roll, and Wood is an incredibly efficient three point shooter.

The Dallas Mavericks desperately needed to add some scoring to their frontcourt, and by acquiring Christian Wood, they accomplish just that. A duo of Luka Doncic and Christian Wood could make them a really scary threat to come out of the Western Conference. The Christian Wood trade is shaping up to be a home run.
