On this episode of @State Of Soccer TV we were able to tour my hometown club, the Philadelphia Union. The Union play their soccer at Subaru Park in Chester, Pennsylvania. This stadium was made famous when in 2007 the Sons Of Ben, the main supporters group of the Philly Union, lobbied to bring a Major League Soccer franchise to the Philadelphia area.
Thanks to their efforts, the City Of Philadelphia, Delaware County, and many other contributors, the stadium would open for the Philadelphia Union’s inaugural season in 2010. Since 2010 this stadium has changed names multiple times from it’s original name as PPL Park to Talen Energy Stadium, and now finally it is known as Subaru Park.
I want to give a special shout out to the Philadelphia Union organization for allowing SOSTV to tour Subaru Park. I want to ask you to please subscribe, and hit the like button if you enjoyed today’s stadium tour!
