Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim has made a bold decision ahead of the winter transfer window closing.

Reports (via Fichajes backed by TeamTalk) claim the Portuguese boss does not want Marcus Rashford and Casemiro in his squad any longer.

With just a week left before the transfer deadline, Amorim is pushing for their exit as he shapes his team for the future. The club’s board is now working on offloading both players, whose combined value is around £100 million.

Manchester United ready to sell Rashford and Casemiro?

Rashford, once a fan favorite at Old Trafford, has struggled for form. While he remains a talented forward, United are reportedly open to selling him if an offer of £40 million or more arrives.

Casemiro, who cost United £60 million in 2022, has failed to deliver the kind of performances he showed at Real Madrid. The club is also willing to part ways with him as part of a wage-cutting plan.

Barcelona are interested in a loan deal for Rashford, and the forward himself is open to the move — even if it means taking a pay cut. Meanwhile, Aston Villa boss Unai Emery is keen on bringing Rashford to his squad.

Casemiro, on the other hand, has attracted interest from AS Roma. The Italian side could lose Leandro Paredes before the deadline and sees Casemiro as a potential replacement.

Man United’s transfer plans take shape

While Amorim is looking to offload Rashford and Casemiro, Manchester United are also making moves in the transfer market.

  • Bayern Munich striker Mathys Tel has rejected a move to Tottenham, boosting United’s chances of signing him.
  • Victor Boniface has been offered to multiple Premier League clubs, including United, as Bayer Leverkusen looks to sell the Nigerian forward.
  • Amorim has also made it clear that he wants Alejandro Garnacho to stay, despite interest from Chelsea and Napoli.

With the transfer window closing soon, United fans can expect some big moves in the coming days.
