The New England Revolution records their first victory at Orlando City to reach the Eastern Conference final of the MLS Cup Playoffs for the first time since 2014. First-half goals from Carles Gil and Gustavo Bou got the visiting Revs off to a flying start before Orlando’s Junior Urso pulled one back for the hosts. Orlando would be reduced to 10 men after Mauricio Pereyra’s studs-up challenge on Matt Polster. Despite being at a disadvantage, Orlando’s Daryl Dike earned a late penalty for the Lions, but Nani’s attempt was saved by Matt Turner. Gustavo Bou would go on to score his second of the game with just three minutes left as Bruce Arena’s sealed the win, and will now visit either Columbus Crew or Nashville SC with a spot in the MLS Cup final on the line.
