– DK Metcalf trade to Bears? Fansided proposed a trade idea to send Metcalf to Chicago in return for a 2023 1st round pick and a 2024 2nd round pick. Bears GM Ryan Poles has repeatedly said that he values draft picks and believes in building a roster through the NFL Draft. Will he change his tune and make a blockbuster trade for DK Metcalf? Metcalf would certainly give Justin Fields an elite weapon to pair with Darnell Mooney.
– Dallas Cowboys trading for Robert Quinn? Mike Fisher of Sports Illustrated reports that Quinn trade chatter is ongoing and that the Cowboys should consider bringing Quinn back to Dallas. Quinn had 11.5 sacks for the Cowboys in 2019, before former Bears GM Ryan Pace signed him to a 5-year, $70 million contract in NFL Free Agency in 2020. Quinn is coming off an 18.5 sack season and the Bears are reportedly open to trading him if they get proper value in return. Quinn has 3 years left on his deal and is set to earn up to $52 million, but any team that trades for him can easily release him in 2023 or 2024 without a major dead cap penalty.
– Pro Football Focus named the Bears WR corps as the worst in the NFL. Ben Linsey says Darnell Mooney is the only proven player for the Bears and that they are expecting too much out of Velus Jones Jr. and Byron Pringle while also expecting role players like Tajae Sharpe and Equanimeous St. Brown to produce. Is PFF right? Do the Bears have the WORST WR corps in the NFL? Veteran wide receivers such as Julio Jones, Cole Beasley, Emmanuel Sanders, T.Y.
