The National League Division Series resumed Sunday. First, the Phillies evened their series against the Mets 1-1 with a wild 7-6 victory in Game 2 at Citizens Bank Park. Bryce Harper ignited the Phillies’ bats, and Nick Castellanos played the hero with a walk-off single after the Phillies and Mets traded blows in the later innings of the game.

Later that night, Fernando Tatis Jr. led the way as the Padres also evened their series with the Dodgers with a 10-2 Game 2 victory that came with its own fair share of fireworks — on and off the field.

Does playoff baseball get any better than this? The Phillies’ win over the Mets in Game 2 on Sunday was an instant classic, capped off by Castellanos’ heroics to walk it off and even the series at one game apiece.

The Mets were in control through the first five innings of the game, with Luis Severino dealing and Mark Vientos having given New York a two-run lead with a homer in the third inning. The boo birds were out at Citizens Bank Park. Pete Alonso added a solo home run in the sixth, but then Philadelphia came alive. Bryce Harper and Castellanos went back-to-back, tying the game 3-3 with home runs of their own.

Brandon Nimmo countered with a solo homer in the seventh before Philadelphia punched back in the eighth on a two-run triple from Bryson Stott and a defensive miscue from Vientos … who then tied it back up with a ninth-inning home run.

But the Phillies weren’t done, as they put together a two-out, ninth-inning comeback after back-to-back walks by Trea Turner and Harper. Castellanos’ walk-off hit put an exclamation point on a stunning Game 2.

The series shifts to New York for Game 3 on Tuesday.

En route to a 10-2 win over the Dodgers in Game 2 of the NLDS, the Padres set a franchise postseason record with six home runs, including two from Fernando Tatis Jr. And while that sounds dramatic enough, there was plenty more throughout the game.

In the first inning, Mookie Betts appeared to hit a home run — until Jurickson Profar revealed he’d actually caught it by jumping into the stands to make a play. Profar taunted Dodgers fans and even fooled the Fox broadcast. The saga continued in the seventh, when Dodgers fans, according to Yahoo Sports’ Russell Dorsey, threw two baseballs at Profar in the middle of the inning, causing a game delay.

But the Padres kept their foot on the gas behind a solid start from Yu Darvish, who threw seven innings, allowed three hits and one run, struck out three and walked two. It was also a quiet night for Shohei Ohtani, who went 0-for-4 with two strikeouts.

Game 3 is set for Tuesday at Petco Park in San Diego.

Here’s a look at how Sunday’s action shook out:

Live75 updates

  • Padres win, series tied 1-1

The Padres will travel down Interstate 5 a lot happier, knowing the series is tied 1-1 and awaiting them will be one of the most raucous crowds you’ll see in the MLB playoffs.

    Leading the charge:

  • Max Muncy wants to keep playing

Max Muncy hit a solo homer in this blowout.

    Naturally, the internet had jokes.

  • Padres home run barrage continues

The Padres seem to be taking things personally. They’re swinging away. Hard.

Kyle Higashioka hit a solo homer in the ninth, and Fernando Tatis Jr. hit his second homer of the night, this one a two-run homer.

  • Quiet night for Shohei Ohtani

Shohei Ohtani struck out on three pitches to Padres reliever Tanner Scott. He’s 0-for-4 tonight as the Dodgers are three outs away from falling in Game 2.

  • Xander Bogaerts replaced after big homer

The Padres’ Xander Bogaerts is dealing with an ailing hamstring, making his homer even more remarkable.

The Padres gave Bogaerts the rest of the night off, replacing him with Tyler Wade at shortstop.

  • Padres pouring it on

Xander Bogaerts followed Jackson Merrill’s homer with one of his own to give San Diego a stranglehold of this game.

  • Padres rookie sensation Jackson Merrill just broke the game open with a two-run home run in the bottom of the eighth off of Dodgers reliever Ryan Brasier.

The Padres now lead 6-1. Merrill is 3-for-4 with the home run and three RBI.

  • Ryan Brasier is on the mound for the Dodgers in the top of the eighth as their fourth pitcher of the night. Padres looking to extend a 4-1 lead.

  • After a dramatic bottom of the seventh, the score remains the same. Yu Darvish walked Teoscar Hernández to lead off the inning, then recorded three straight outs to get out of the inning, maintaining a 4-1 Padres lead.

  • And we’re back to playing baseball following a several-minute delay. Profar remains in the outfield. It’s not clear if any fans were removed from the stands.

In case you need a reminder, the Padres lead 4-1 in the bottom of the seventh. Starter Yu Darvish is still on the mound after allowing one run on 69 pitches through six innings.

  • We’re still in a delay. Video shows a ball being thrown from the stands near Profar. Security has gotten involved, and the PA announcer at Dodgers Stadium has issued a warning to fans.

  • Per reports, a fan threw a baseball at Profar from the stands.

This appears to stem from Profar’s first-inning interaction with fans in the outfield. Profar taunted fans after robbing Mookie Betts of a home run while reaching into the stands.

  • Jurickson Profar is hot. The Padres outfielder apparently has issues with fans in the outfield. Play delayed to start the bottom of the seventh as Profar, his teammates and umpires met near the infield.

  • Daniel Hudson gets two outs to end the top of the seventh. Teoscar Hernandez will lead off the bottom of the seventh for the Dodgers.

  • The Dodgers pull Anthony Banda after one out with no baserunners in the top of the seventh. Daniel Hudson will take his place as the third Dodgers pitcher of the night.

  • Yu Darvish sits down MVPs Shohei Ohtani and Mookie Betts to start the sixth, then gets a loud out to the center-field warning track from Enrique Hernández, who’s in for Freddie Freeman. Darvish has allowed three hits and one run through six strong innings of work. His pitch count stands at 69.

    Padres lead, 4-1.

  • Shohei Ohtani grounds out on a full count and is now 0-for-3 against Yu Darvish today.

  • Mannny Machado and Dodgers starter Jack Flaherty continue to exchange words after Flaherty’s sixth-inning exit. Tension between the NL West rivals.

  • Padres starter Yu Darvish is coming back for the bottom of the sixth after two rotations through the Dodgers lineup. Shohei Ohtani leads off the inning after an 0-for-2 start.

  • Anthony Banda strikes out Jake Cronenworth to end the inning. Padres tack on another run to extend their lead to 4-1 in the sixth.

Jack Flaherty’s final line: 5 1/3 innings pitched, four earned runs allowed on five hits, two home runs and one walk. He struck out two.

  • Dodgers reliever Anthony Banda takes over on the mound and immediately surrenders an RBI single to Jackson Merrill that scores Fernando Tatis Jr. from second base. Padres extend lead to 4-1.

  • Jack Flaherty is done. The Dodgers starter leaves the game with runners on first and second and one out in the top of the sixth.

  • Per the Dodgers, Freddie Freeman is experiencing right ankle discomfort.

  • Enrique Hernández is now in the game at third base and takes Freeman’s place in the lineup. Max Muncy moves from third base to first.

  • Freddie Freeman leaves game

Dodgers All-Star and former MVP first baseman Freddie Freeman is out of the game. He’s been playing through an injured ankle, and did not take the field for the Dodgers in the top of the sixth inning.

There doesn’t appear to be anything new to report. Per the Fox broadcast, Freeman remains day-to-day with the ankle injury.

  • Gavin Lux got on first with a bloop single in the fifth inning, but the Dodgers didn’t bring him home. Padres lead 3-1 after five innings. Starter Yu Darvish has settled in after loading the bases with no outs in the second inning.

  • After some early-innings fireworks, both starting pitchers have settled in. Jack Flaherty posts a second straight 1-2-3 inning for the Dodgers, and the Padres continue to lead, 3-1 after the top of the fifth.

  • Luis Arráez ends the inning with a nice play at first base for a Max Muncy groundout. Padres lead, 3-1 after four.

  • Now Fernando Tatís is doing it on defense. He robbed Freddie Freeman of multiple bases in the fourth inning by chasing down and leaping to grab a line drive to right field. This after hitting a first-inning home run to give the Padres an early lead.

Tatís is having a great game and a great postseason.

  • Now it’s a 1-2-3 inning for Dodgers starter Jack Flaherty. Padres hold a 3-1 lead after the top of the fourth.

  • Yu Darvish posts a 1-2-3 third inning, getting outs from Dodgers MVP stars Shohei Ohtani and Mookie Betts. Padres lead 3-1 after three innings.

  • The Padres threatened with a one-out double by Fernando Tatís Jr. in the third. But Jack Flaherty got consecutive outs from there to keep the Padres from adding to their lead.

San Diego leads 3-1 after the top of the third inning.

  • The Dodgers are on the board, but they settled for one after loading the bases with no outs in the second inning. Gavin Lux hit a sacrifice fly that scored Teoscar Hernández from third base. Then a nice play by Padres first baseman Luis Arráez ended the inning.

Arráez snagged a line drive off the bat of Tommy Edman, then stepped on first base for an inning-ending double play. Padres lead 3-1 after two.

  • The Dodgers have a chance to close the early gap after digging a 3-0 hole. They’ve loaded the bases with no outs in the bottom of the second. There’s a meeting on the mound with Padres starter Yu Darvish.

  • Here’s video of Profar after he robbed Mookie Betts of a home run:

  • Two innings, two home runs for the Padres. This time it was David Peralta with a two-out blast to center field off Jack Flaherty with Jackson Merrill on base. San Diego leads 3-0 after the top of the second inning.

  • Jurickson Profar spoke with Fox between innings about his home-run-robbing catch.

“That was one of my wishes,” he said. “I want to rob a homer. I did it in a playoff game, so it was awesome.”

As for his interaction with Dodgers fans in the stands?

“I didn’t say anything. I had to fight with them to catch the ball, and they were hitting my glove.”

  • The Padres get out of the first inning unscathed after Profar’s big play. San Diego leads 1-0 after one inning.

  • Jurickson Profar, wow. The Padres outfielder robs Mookie Betts of a home run with a grab over the wall, then taunts the Dodgers fans in the stands who didn’t catch it. He waited several moments before revealing that he’d actually caught the ball, fooling the Fox broadcast into thinking the ball cleared the wall for a home run.

  • Yu Darvish is on the mound for the Padres. Good start for the San Diego starter, gets a strikeout of Shohei Ohtani to start the game.

  • Flaherty gets out of the inning with no further damage. Manny Machado grounds into an inning-ending double play. Padres lead 1-0 early, thanks to Tatís’ solo shot in the first inning.

  • That didn’t take long. The Padres strike first. Fernando Tatís Jr. launches a solo home run off Jack Flaherty into the left-field bleachers on his first swing of the game. He turned on a 93 mph fastball over the plate. Padres up 1-0 early.

  • And we’re underway. Dodgers starter Jack Flaherty induced a flyout from Luis Arráez for the first out of the game.

  • We’re minutes away from Game 2 between the Dodgers and Padres as San Diego looks to even the series with its SoCal rival.

  • NICK CASTELLANOS WINS IT FOR PHILLY

  • Phillies have a man on first with Bryce Harper coming up to the plate …

Can Harper produce some two-out magic?

  • The Mets are inevitable?

  • METS TIE IT IN THE 9TH

    We don’t know either!

  • And we go to the ninth with Philly feeling it…
