Michigan football just landed one of the top receivers in the country.

Four-star recruit Tyler Morris committed to the Wolverines’ 2022 recruiting class on Tuesday afternoon.

Morris, listed at 6 foot and 175 pounds by 247Sports, is regarded as one of the top overall pass-catchers. He is ranked No. 80 overall and the No. 10 receiver, according to the 247Sports Composite rankings.

Morris plays at Nazareth Academy in Illinois, which should sound familiar: It is the same school that freshman quarterback J.J. McCarthy attended for his first three years of high school, before McCarthy — who just wrapped up spring ball as an early enrollee — transferred to IMG Academy for his senior year.

Morris also listed offers from Notre Dame, Florida and Penn State, among others. He is the seventh recruit to commit to the Wolverines’ 2022 class, which also includes cornerback Will Johnson (Grosse Pointe South), receiver Tay’Shawn Trent (East Detroit), defensive back Kody Jones, tight end Marlin Klein, defensive lineman Davonte Miles (River Rouge) and offensive lineman Connor Jones.
