It’s the final round of League One Predictions, and Ian & Thomas from Very Biased Opinions take you through every game. There is really only 1 thing to play for and that is the final playoff spot.

Congratulation to Hull City for winning the league and Congrats to Peterborough United to securing that 2nd spot. Sunderland, Blackpool and Lincoln City deserve hearty handshakes too for getting in the playoffs. Commiserations to Rochdale, Swindon Town, Bristol Rovers and Northampton Town on relegation to Sky Bet League Two. OK!! that is the formalities out of the way it’s time to talk about the only thing left to play for in League One, and the question on everyone’s lips is… Can Oxford get the last playoff spot? It’s between Portsmouth, Charlton Athletic and Ian’s beloved OUFC. Pompey are the ones in the driving seat, if they win against Accrington then they in the playoffs, that is the same if they match Oxford and Charlton’s results. They will fancy their chances although Accrington have just pushed Portsmouth all the way in a crazy game which ended 3-3. They are not a side to be taken lightly. Charlton are the long shots here. They are level on points with Oxford but have an inferior goal difference to the U’s and Portsmouth. They face champions Hull too. The Addicks have already beaten Hull this season, so will be hoping for the same again, and to take advantage of Hull side that may have over celebrated🍻 🍺 . That’s brings us to Oxford United. a brilliant 3-2 win last weekend against Shrewsbury kept the dream alive. Oxford face Burton at home. A winnable game especially as Oxford beat them 5-1 earlier in the season. BUT!!! that was a very different Burton side, and now under Jimmy Floydd Hasselbaink they will be looking to end the season with a win. Hope for a miracle Oxford fans, it’s been a great end to the season either way.
