The Chargers are the biggest winners of the 2021 NFL schedule release.
As many folks have grown increasingly familiar and comfortable with working from home over the past year, the Chargers decided to lean into the bit: In a video shared on the team’s social media accounts Wednesday, their schedule was released in the form a staged Zoom call hosted by defensive end Joey Bosa.

The video, which features work-from-home classics such as, “Can you see my screen?” and “I’ll send this to you later,” was made in the form of an elementary school PowerPoint presentation, which may leave you gasping for air.

should we REALLY make our schedule release video a powerpoint?

Here are some of the best jokes from the clip:
- Bosa asking whether his fellow teammates on Zoom can see his screen, something that has been repeated ad infinitum over the last year in many homes across the country, often followed by a half-hearted “No,” exasperated sighs and smashing of keyboards.
- New York being dubbed “The Windy City” (that’s Chicago, for the record) and featuring Michael Scott’s favorite pizza place, Sbarro.
- Puerto Rican flags in the Week 1 matchup with Washington, which is presumably for head coach (and former Chargers DC) Ron Rivera.
- The not-so-subtle Cowboys fans roasts, with Dak Prescott photoshopped in a Yankees hat. (They might be wearing Dodgers hats by August.)
- The “Always Sunny In Philadelphia” D.E.N.N.I.S. system reference. Also, a swipe at Philly cheesesteaks.
- The various PowerPoint transitions, word art and slides that remind most of learning about the Microsoft Office program in the early 2000s.
- The Yelp ratings that trash the landmarks and tourist attractions of different towns.
- Where in the world is Linval Joseph?
All in all, the more you watch it, the more you pick up on humor in the video. There’s an endless pit of jokes.
It’s the latest in a series of Ws for the Chargers’ social media team, who also compared their 2021 opponents to PopTarts, the delicious breakfast treat, earlier in the day:
Here’s hoping LA can put some Ws together on the field in 2021, too.
