LFA 105: Vacant women’s strawweight title on the line

The vacant women’s strawweight title will be up for grabs later this week in the LFA 105 main event, the promotion announced Monday. Piera Rodriguez (5-0) will meet Svetlana Gotsyk (13-4) in the headliner at the Grand Event Center at Grand Casino Hotel & Resort in Shawnee, Okla., on Friday. Venezuela’s Rodriguez is unbeaten in her first five fights in Panama and Spain. Gotsyk, from the Ukraine, comes into the title fight with three straight first-round finishes.   • Piera Rodriguez vs. Svetlana Gotsyk – for vacant women’s strawweight title

UFC 261 loses bout

Saturday’s UFC 261 is down a fight after losing a bantamweight preliminary bout between [autotag]Johnny Munoz[/autotag] and [autotag]Jamey Simmons[/autotag]. The reason for the cancellation is injury, although it’s unclear who was injured. Announced by UFC on April 19
