The seven-time F1 world champion and 23-time Grand Slam winner have agreed to invest an estimated £20m into the consortium spearheaded by former Liverpool FC chairman Sir Martin Broughton to buy Chelsea Football Club, Sky News can exclusively reveal.

Chelsea’s owner Roman Abramovich was forced to sell the club after being sanctioned by the British government following the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
