Forwards Chris Wagner and Tye Felhaber, the latter of whom just signed a new two-way contract with the team, were placed on waivers. Wagner cleared and Felhaber’s placement was announced on Wednesday.
Wagner has played 22 games with the Avalanche this season and 5 with their AHL affiliate, the Colorado Eagles. Wagner has scored one goal with each club in each of those stints. He was previously placed on waivers back on November 14th. Due to waiver requirements, Wagner had to be placed on waivers again in order to be sent back down to the AHL, which was announced on Tuesday morning. He cleared as of Wednesday. This is his third waiver transaction of the season.
Wagner and Dowling clear from yesterday.

The NHL’s roster freeze is set to start on December 20th, meaning NHL teams cannot initiate transactions, whether it be trades, moves between the NHL and their AHL affiliates, or waiver claims. They can begin making transactions again after December 27th.
