The Colorado Avalanche announced on Sunday that they have signed forward Tye Felhaber to a two-year, two-way contract. Felhaber signed a one-year contract with the Colorado Eagles, AHL affiliate of the Avalanche on August 12th.

The Pembroke, Ontario native went undrafted until he signed an entry-level deal with the Dallas Stars organization in March of 2019, where he was sent to their AHL affiliate, the Texas Stars, and made his team debut in the 2019-20 season. He played 86 games with the Stars until he was traded to the Tampa Bay Lightning’s AHL affiliate, the Syracuse Crunch, in February of 2022, with whom he played three games.

Felhaber went on to sign with the Milwaukee Admirals of the AHL (affiliate of the Nashville Predators) for the 2023-24 season, where he had an AHL career-high 23 points (10 goals, 13 assists) in 51 games played.

The Colorado Eagles announced Felhaber’s one-year AHL contract along with goaltender Keaton Mastrodonato and Bryan Yoon, also signed to one-year AHL deals, on August 12th. Since signing, Felhaber has led the Colorado Eagles in scoring with eight goals and is tied for fifth in points with Captain Jacob MacDonald in points with 13 in 23 games played.

His most recent deal, signed with the Avalanche, will keep him with the organization through 2026. This is a two-way deal worth $1.55 Million ($775,000 AAV).
