Frank Mir’s fight against Kubrat Pulev didn’t go well on Saturday night, and fans weren’t happy about it for a number of reasons.

Mir was knocked out while standing on his feet early in the first round of his Triller Triad Combat at Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas. Pulev simply rolled all over Mir, and had him wobbling on his feet uncontrollably before referee Dan Miragliotta finally called it.

Pulev was just standing and watching the unusual scene at the end, too, unsure of what to do as Mir stumbled back into the corner of the triangle ring.

Many were quick to react and call out Triller, Miragliotta and pretty much everyone involved in the event for letting Mir be involved for that long — which makes sense, considering how unstable the 42-year-old looked at the end and how mismatched the event really was from the beginning.

Mir made his professional boxing debut in April, though he fell to Steve Cunningham. He boasts a 19-3 MMA record. Pulev last stepped into the ring in December, though he suffered a knockout loss to then-unified heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua in the ninth round. He holds a 28-2 boxing record.
