A quartet of MLS teams were in action in Concacaf Champions Cup Tuesday evening, including Inter Miami and LAFC.

Here is what went gone down in Miami and Los Angeles.

Scorers: Delgado 49′

LAFC earned their spot in the round-of-16 after sneaking past Colorado Rapids on away goals.

The tie was in the balance from the very start, but LAFC’s late away goal in the first-leg last week was the difference in the end.

Winter signing Marc Delgado bagged his first goal for the club in the opening five minutes of the second-half to hand LAFC the advantage in the tie on away goals, but Colorado only needed one goal to swing the balance back in their favor.

After holding onto their narrow lead, LAFC have now set up a mouthwatering round-of-16 showdown with the Columbus Crew.

Scorers: Messi 19′, Allende 45+1′, Suárez 45+3′ ; Rodríguez 63′

Inter Miami cruised past Sporting Kansas City in the second-leg of their Champions Cup affair.

While Sporting KC looked the better side in the first-half, they found themselves 3-0 down in stunning fashion after Lionel Messi opened the scoring with a peach of a goal.

Goals in first-half stoppage time from Tadeo Allende and Luis Suárez respectively saw the visitors from the midwest all but blown away in the tie in a flash.

A second-half Memo Rodríguez strike secured some consolation for SKC, but it was only that in the end as Miami saw out the result to move on and set up a matchup with Jamaican side Cavalier.
