WWE superstar Drew McIntyre claims WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury is “stalking” him for a match.

McIntyre, a two-time WWE Champion, has been called out by Fury (30-0-1, 21 KOs) multiple times in interviews and on social media.

Fury’s sole WWE appearance came in October 2019 when he faced Braun Strowman at Crown Jewel in October 2019, a fight he won after knocking out his opponent.

McIntyre, who hails from Scotland, is keen to fight Fury and bring a WWE pay-per-view event back to UK.

“Tyson Fury is stalking me. It’s the most bizarre sentence,” he said to the Big issue.

“I’d wake up every day and I’ve got another message on social media from Tyson Fury. Maybe I should answer him.

“The UK deserves a significant pay-per-view. It’s such an incredible fanbase, a huge audience, they’re so passionate.

“There hasn’t been a huge show since 1992 when we sold out Wembley Stadium with over 80,000 people.

“I want to make that happen again, be that at Hampden or Ibrox or wherever it may be. Maybe Wembley again.

“But if it takes myself and Tyson Fury to draw some outside eyeballs besides just the WWE fans — the new WWE fans, we’ll call them — I want to make it happen.”

Speaking earlier this year, Fury claimed he was set to fight McIntyre but the fight was put on hold due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

“I was supposed to go to SummerSlam last year and I was supposed to go to WrestleMania last year and then I was also supposed to fight Drew McIntyre in a PPV event in the UK,” Fury said to Behind the Gloves.

“So COVID’s cost me SummerSlam, Royal Rumble, PPV with Drew McIntyre, the [Deontay] Wilder rematch, and the [Anthony] Joshua fight.”

The WBC champion is now looking to secure a fight with fellow Brit Anthony Joshua in a bout in which would unify the heavyweight division.
