Women’s Six Nations Table 2022

The 2022 Women’s Six Nations takes a break this weekend – the one fallow week of the championship – but after the third round of matches England are in the familiar position of sitting top of the table.

The Red Roses have won the last three Six Nations titles and followed up their opening wins in Scotland and Italy with a dominant 58-5 victory over Wales in front of a record crowd at Kingsholm.

They scored ten tries in all, including doubles for Lark Davies and Jess Breach, to take their tally in the tournament so far to 31. And they have only conceded two tries!

France are also on maximum points after a bonus-point 28-8 win over Scotland, although they didn’t have it all their own way in Glasgow.

Having dominated the first half, les Bleues didn’t score a single point in the second as the Scots rallied to win that period 5-0.

In the final game of round three, Ireland secured their first win of this year’s championship by beating Italy 29-8 in Cork.

The hosts scored five tries in all – Lucy Mulhall, Neve Jones, Eve Higgins and Katie O’Dwyer touching down and a penalty try being awarded.

So England and France are the only teams still unbeaten in the Six Nations, with the Red Roses in top spot thanks to a better points difference.

Ireland have their first points of the championship while Scotland and Italy remain without a win – their meeting in the fourth round should be interesting.

This is how the 2022 Women’s Six Nations table looks after round three…
