For the fourth time in 25 years, the U.S. Open is returning to Pinehurst.

Golf’s third major of the year is about one month away, and after Xander Schauffele’s first career major win at the PGA Championship, it’s the perfect time to look ahead.

Pinehurst Resort is hosting this year’s U.S. Open after previously hosting in 1999, 2005 and 2014. With this year’s tournament, Pinehurst becomes the first course in over 100 years to be awarded the major four times in a 25-year span.

With his win at the PGA Championship, Schauffele hopped Northern Irish golfer Rory McIlroy for the No. 2 spot in the Official World Golf Rankings. He still sits behind Scottie Scheffler, who finished tied for eighth in the PGA Championship eight strokes behind Schauffele.

Here’s how early odds look for the 2024 U.S. Open at Pinehurst Resort.
