UConn and Providence look to finish off the Big East regular season strong with a Saturday evening clash.

The Huskies clinched the No. 1 seed in the Big East tournament and are on a five-game winning streak but now put their unblemished conference record on the line. 

Providence, meanwhile, will finish as the No. 8 or No. 9 seed when things are all said and down.

The last time these two teams faced off, UConn won in a decisive 85-41 win.

All five starters for the Huskies scored double-digit points, led by Ashlynn Slade’s 18. Nika Muhl added a double-double with 10 points and 13 assists. Brynn Farrell led the Friars with 12 points while Olivia Olsen added 13 rebounds.

Paige Bueckers and Aaliyah Edwards remain the leading scorers for UConn and average 20.8 points and 18.1 points, respectively. Olsen is the top player for Providence with 14.2 points and 8.8 rebounds per game.
