The final buzzer blared as the Beaver crowd erupted into cheers and sprinted on court after Oregon State’s Jordan Pope sunk one from downtown to beat No. 9 Arizona 83-80 in the final seconds of Thursday night’s game. 

FINAL STATS: How Oregon State outlasted No. 9 Arizona

Pope led the game with 31 points making 9-of-15 from the field, 5-of-8 from three and tallying 5 assists. As a team, the Beavers wildly outshot the Wildcats, shooting 60 percent from the behind the arc to Arizona’s 21.4 percent on top of edging them in field goals and free throws.

The Beavers who have earned all ten of their season wins at home, improve to 2-6 in the Pac-12 while the Wildcats drop their third road loss in conference play (5-3). Both teams will play again on Saturday, with Oregon State hosting Arizona State and Arizona playing at Oregon.
