The New York Giants have officially released CB James Bradberry which we all new was going to happen relatively soon, due to the fact they had no money to sign their own rookie draft class. This move frees up around $10 million in cap space, and if you’re a Giants fan, it’s tough to have to release a player of Bradberry’s caliber. He was a Pro-Bowl player just a couple years ago, and at only 28 years old, he still has some really good football left in him. If it wasn’t for Dave Gettleman mismanaging the cap terribly, James would probably still be on the Giants but that’s not the case. Bradberry will now hit free agency where he will draw a ton of interest, and the rumors are that a ton of teams are interested in him. I’ve heard teams like the Eagles, Chiefs, Raiders, and even the Steelers would like to sign him, so it’ll be interesting to see where he lands. Me being a Cardinals fan though, I’m hoping we offer him a contract because we are in desperate need of another boundary corner. We recently signed Jeff Gladney and already had Byron Murphy and Marco Wilson on the roster, but if the Arizona Cardinals are able to land James, this would allow them to have Gladney and Bradberry play on the boundary, while Byron could move back to the slot where he’s most comfortable playing anyways. This would be a great signing for us and I’m really hoping we at least check what he’s asking for!
