REPORT: Dallas Mavericks Trading For BIG NAME Player? New Mavs Rumors On Kyrie Irving & Frank Vogel

The Mavericks have a lot of work to do in the 2023 NBA offseason, and ESPN’s Brian Windhorst believes the Mavericks are hunting for a big name to join Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving on the Mavericks’ roster. Could someone like Paul George or OG Anunoby, who have been the subject of Mavericks trade rumors, be possible additions? Ex- Lakers head coach Frank Vogel could be joining the Mavericks’ coaching staff if he doesn’t land the Phoenix Suns head coaching job. Kidd and Vogel won the 2020 NBA title with the Los Angeles Lakers, and Vogel was the head coach with the Indiana Pacers when Paul George was there.

According to NBA Insider Marc Stein, the Mavericks are not interested in a Kyrie Irving for D’Angelo Russell sign & trade. The Mavericks do not have to help other teams sign Kyrie Irving in 2023 NBA Free agency, and can offer him the most money of any team. Should Kyrie want to go elsewhere, he would have to sign less than a max contract.
