Padres, president of baseball operations AJ Preller isn’t one who’s afraid to make a big move in the last several seasons.He’s acquired players like Luisa Rise, Mayor Machado Hassan, Kim Juan Soto, Josh hater Xander Bogart, Yu Darvish and Dylan C. But the Padres have also traded a lot of prospect capital away to acquire those players.Now last year, the Padres had a roster that many believe could compete for the World Series and they missed the postseason this year.They have a lot of that remaining talent, but if they missed the postseason again, many questions would start to rise about the future of Preller and this Padres team now while acquiring a player like Luisa Rise was a move worth making for San Diego.They still have other areas of need like they’re starting pitching.But what prospects do the Padres currently have after making all these moves to make another big splash at the trade deadline over the next couple of weeks and months, we’ll likely see what AJ Preller has up his sleeves as he tries to protect not only his job but the future of his roster
