Josh Taylor is ready to show the world what he can do when the undisputed light-welterweight champion puts his titles on the line against Jack Catterall. Inside the OVO Hydro in Glasgow, Scotland, on Feb. 26, Taylor will face Catterall for the WBA, WBC, IBF, WBO, and The Ring light-welterweight titles. 

A 2014 Commonwealth Games gold medalist, Taylor made his pro debut in 2015. Taylor won the Commonwealth light-welterweight title in 2016, and the WBC Silver light-welterweight title in 2017. Defending the Silver title four times, Taylor would compete in the World Boxing Super Series light-welterweight tournament. He beat Ryan Martin, Ivan Baranchyk, and Regis Prograis to become the undisputed champion. 

A junior taekwondo champion, Taylor has defended his status as undisputed champion twice. His last fight was a unanimous decision win over Jose Ramirez in May. 

Catterall made his pro debut in 2012. A WBO Inter-Continental light-welterweight champion, Catterall won the British light-welterweight title in 2018. He emerged as a top contender in the light-welterweight division by beating the likes of Oscar Amador, Timo Schwarzkopf, and Avderrazak Houya. The Houya fight was in November 2020.

Taylor and Catterall were supposed to fight one another in December, but Taylor had to back out after suffering an injury.
