In the bottom of the fifth, Nate Mondou launched a triple to center field. Yolbert Sanchez hit a sac-fly to bring in Mondou and cut the Royals lead to 4-2.
Back-to-back singles from Evan Skoug and Mondou put two on base in the bottom of the seventh. Sanchez followed with an RBI single to inch the score closer, 4-3.
The Chicago White Sox fell to the Kansas City Royal 4-3 at Camelback Ranch in Glendale, Arizona.
The White Sox played in a split series today. One squad staying in Glendale to face the Royals while the other traveled to the Texas Rangers facility where they fell 2-0.
