This was due to some form of discrepancy during Correa’s physical exam with the team. That hold-up was all that the New York Mets needed to swoop in and make a deal. Before ink could hit contract in San Francisco, Correa signed with Steve Cohen to play in the Big Apple. Correa brings a resume that includes Gold Gloves, Silver Slugger awards and a World Series ring. Correa now occupies the same lineup as Francisco Lindor and Pete Alonso giving the Mets plenty of pop in the middle of their lineup.
