DC United was once the standard bearer for club soccer in America. Now, they stink. The team was purchased by carpetbaggers who clearly don’t care nor have a clue about what they’re doing. It is a shame for this great MLS club to be turned into also-rans. Local ownership wouldn’t allow such a thing to happen. They may not win all the time, but at least they’d care about the fanbase in the wider DMV area.
