UFC president Dana White and his family have all tested positive for COVID-19 after a Thanksgiving gathering, he said on Wednesday.

White, speaking on “The Jim Rome Podcast,” said that he is now in isolation after a family trip to Maine for Thanksgiving. Everyone who attended the trip, he said, has now tested positive for the coronavirus.

“We just went up to my place in Maine for Thanksgiving — it’s tradition we go up there. And somebody had [the coronavirus],” White said. “And we got back, and we all tested positive for COVID. Literally the whole family, and my family up in Maine, too.”

White first noticed symptoms on Sunday when he was in his steam room, and then tested positive the next day. He said he is fully vaccinated, and that he has only experienced minimal symptoms. His sense of smell and taste returned about 24 hours later.

Now, after taking various treatments, White said he’s feeling great.

“Could not feel better,” he said. “Feel like a million bucks. I’m doing two-a-day workouts by the way, too, for the next 10 days while I have COVID and I’m in quarantine. I got my smell and taste back in less than 24 hours.”

Though it’s not known if he’ll be clear in time, White is hopeful that he can attend the next UFC card on Saturday in Las Vegas — which features Rob Font and Jose Aldo’s bout at the UFC Apex facility.

Until then, he said, he and his family are following proper protocols.

“You’re supposed to stay home and stay away from other people for 10 days. That’s what I’m doing … I’m going to keep testing every two days until I’m negative and then I’m going to get back to work ASAP,” White said.

“I hope [I can attend the fights on Saturday]. If I test negative, then I will absolutely positively be there … I’m going to do the exact protocol that’s supposed to be done and make sure that I’m clean and can go around and be around people again. As soon as that’s 100% clear, then I’ll be back to work.”
