The Seattle Kraken’s second season was one for the books. From the first-ever (in NHL history) sweep of a road trip of at least seven games to a 19-win and 40-point improvement season-over-season, the team showed a relentless pursuit to improve on its inaugural campaign. With injuries to key players throughout the season, the team’s resilience and selfless approach saw them end the regular season with the most 20-goal scorers in the league. That scoring-by-committee approach carried over to the playoffs where they had 18 unique goal scorers, propelling them to a series win over the defending Stanley Cup champion Colorado Avalanche and to the brink of the Western Conference Final.
