There was a time a few years ago where I was very close to doing a video on the Philadelphia Flyers. They had been quite terrible and visionless, Dave Hakstol was fired (he somehow lasted longer than Ron Hextall, who was also fired), and the team had gone through terrible goaltender after struggling goaltender over a decade plus. Why didn’t it happen? Carter Hart happened, and he was good. He led Philly to a strong winning streak, and the video was scrapped.
However, we fast forward to now, and the Flyers are in a relatively similar situation: They are terrible, visionless, and refuse to acknowledge why they are in the situation they’re in (hint, it’s not in large part due to injuries). This video is probably unnecessary, but I’ve never said I wasn’t a fan of dunking on a rival. Not to say they don’t deserve it.
