The big prize is on the line this week as the PGA Tour’s top 30 players vie for the coveted trophy and $15 million when the 2021 Tour Championship tees off Thursday at East Lake Golf Club in Atlanta. Patrick Cantlay starts the staggered-scoring event at 10-under par as the top player in the 2021 FedEx Cup Playoffs standings, followed by Tony Finau (-8), Bryson DeChambeau (-7), Jon Rahm (-6) and Cameron Smith (-5). Cantlay beat DeChambeau on the sixth playoff hole at the BMW Championship on Sunday, and DeChambeau will be seeking redemption as he and the field try to close the gap on Cantlay. Caesars Sportsbook lists Cantlay as the 7-2 favorite in its latest 2021 Tour Championship golf odds, followed closely by Rahm (4-1), DeChambeau (5-1) and Finau (7-1).

Can Cantlay hold on to take the FedEx Cup title and help you win with your 2021 Tour Championship Fantasy golf picks? Or will DeChambeau rise to the challenge and put you in a better position to win? Before you lock in any Fantasy golf rankings or bet the 2021 Tour Championship, be sure to see the Fantasy golf rankings from PGA expert Riley Gates.

Gates is a writer for 247Sports and has covered a range of sports for nearly five years. He has followed golf closely for much longer and has a profound knowledge of the sport. He also knows what it takes to win, on the course and in Fantasy sports.

Last week at the BMW Championship, six of his golfers finished in the top 10, including DeChambeau, who shot 27-under and lost in a six-hole playoff, and Rory McIlroy, who finished fourth at 22-under par.

Now, Gates has revealed his top 20 players for the Tour Championship 2021. Be sure to head over to SportsLine so you can cash in big with your Fantasy golf picks

Gates has no qualms about sticking with Rahm this week, even if the world’s No. 1 player has had trouble closing the past couple of events. The U.S. Open champion still has an insane 14 top-10 finishes in 21 outings this season, including five straight. He also had a potential win slip away when he was forced to withdraw from the Memorial because of a positive COVID test. He leads the tour in scoring average (69.388) and has been hitting just under 72 percent of his greens in regulation (second). He has been on fire, and Gates doesn’t expect him to slip up at East Lake.

On the other hand, Gates is fading Cantlay despite his status as the favorite. He comes off a strong performance in Baltimore, but he has not been spectacular in recent weeks. Cantlay also won the Memorial in June, but in the five events between then and his BMW win, he did not finish inside the top 10. The pressure will be on in Atlanta, and the 29-year-old rose to the challenge at Caves Valley, but it isn’t obvious he can do it again. Gates ranks him well outside his top five and has several other options who can help you win with your Fantasy golf picks.

How to set your 2021 Tour Championship Fantasy golf lineups

For this week’s FedEx Cup Playoffs finale, Gates has unearthed a massive long shot who comes in at well over 30-1. This player has been in a bit of a cool period but has the talent to contend. Be sure to see who it is and check out the picks before you enter any Fantasy golf picks.
