West Ham eye up Kurt Zouma
West Ham are keen to try and do a deal with Chelsea for French defender Kurt Zouma. Zouma, with the 26 year old thought to prefer staying in London.

The Chelsea man was set to be included as part of a swap deal for Sevilla’s Jules Kounde, but has reportedly expressed his desire to remain in London.
This has alerted West Ham, who are allegedly interested in bringing the Champions League winner to the London Stadium as they aim to strengthen their side after Europa League qualification last campaign.
Alternative lined up
However, a deal may prove tricky to conclude, with Sky Sports reporter Dharmesh reporting that the deal will be difficult “due to fee and wages”, which may leave Zouma seeking an alternative suitor.

As a consequence, West Ham are thought to have lined up Fiorentina defender Nikola Milenkovic as an alternative should a deal for Zouma prove impossible. The Serbian centre-back would offer a far more simple deal to achieve, with the Italian side keen to extract a fee for the 23-year-old, who is out of contract in 12 months.
While the decision may ultimately be taken out of West Ham’s hands if Chelsea refuse to negotiate for Zouma, Milenkovic represents a quality alternative.
