A championship tripleheader sits atop a stacked UFC 261 card, which takes place Saturday night from VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena in Jacksonville, Florida. The card also marks the first UFC event to take place in front of a sold out crowd since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic. Welterweight champ Kamaru Usman and Jorge Masvidal get top billing in the main event. The two met last summer with Usman grinding out a decision victory over the red-hot title challenger.

In addition to Usman and Masvidal, women’s strawweight champ Weili Zhang returns to face former champ Rose Namajunas. Zhang has been out of action since her 2020 Fight of the Year with Joanna Jedrzejczyk while Namajunas has battled back to contender status after losing her belt dramatically in 2019. Plus, strawweight champ Valentina Shevchenko is back when she faces former strawweight queen Jessica Andrade in a featured bout.

And that’s not all. UFC president Dana White pulled out all the stops for this one and it shows as the first two bouts on the prelims delivered some amazing highlights to kick things off. Now, it’s time for the big names to live up to those lofty expectations and give fans the moments they’ve been waiting a year to see live and in person.
