RUSS DORSEY: What’s going on, guys. Russ Dorsey, national MLB insider for Yahoo Sports here with you. And it’s time for the best thing I saw this week.

For the best thing I saw this week, we head to Philadelphia, where we find Pirates outfielder, Andrew McCutchen, who hit his 300th career home run in a 9-2 victory over the Phillies. Now, he became the 160th player in big league history to hit 300 career home runs. It was also his 216th career home run with the Pittsburgh Pirates, placing him fourth all time in franchise history behind Hall of Famers Willie Stargell, Ralph Kiner, and Roberto Clemente.

Now, McCutchen’s career probably won’t end up with him in Cooperstown, but he does have a career worth noting. 300 home runs, over 2,000 hits in the big leagues, an NL MVP award, four top five NL MVP award finishes, and will go down as one of the best outfielders in Pirates history.
