AUSTIN, Texas — With Texas struggling against Georgia, Steve Sarkisian benched quarterback Quinn Ewers for Arch Manning.

Trailing 20-0, Manning entered the game with 4:43 left in the first half.

Ewers struggled in the face of Georgia’s pass rush. He was pressured on 6 of his 16 dropbacks, going 0 for 2 on those plays, with three sacks. Ewers was 6 of 12 for 17 yards and an interception overall.

Texas had 20 total yards, including three rushing, when Manning entered the game.

The first drive under Manning went six plays for 23 yards before a punt. The second ended in him turning it over with a fumble while attempting a pass, setting up a Georgia field goal to end the first half.
