NCAA.com team of the week, TCU entered the top 20 of the latest Associated Press Top 25 Women’s Basketball Poll for the first time in 14 years on Monday.
The Horned Frogs moved into the rankings after a 4-0 start to the season, including a pair of home wins in the past week over Texas State, 90-31 on Nov. 13, and 76-73 over No. 13 NC State on Nov. 17. TCU was awarded the No. 19 ranking on Monday, its highest feature in the poll in 16 seasons. The Horned Frogs last earned a top 20 ranking on Dec. 8, 2008. The No. 19 ranking is tied for the fifth best in program history.
In Sunday’s win over NC State, TCU earned its first ranked win since 2021 and first victory against a top-15 opponent in six seasons. The win also marked the program’s first-ever triumph over a reigning Women’s Final Four participant.

Graduate students Sedona Prince and Hailey Van Lith led the Horned Frogs attack in the win over the Wolfpack. Prince, a 6-7 center, led the way with a game-high 31 points and 16 rebounds, while Van Lith tallied 18 points to go along with 10 assists. Prince’s 31 points are the most in a game by a Division I player against a top-25 opponent this season, while Van Lith recorded her 2,000th career point in the third quarter, becoming one of just six active Division I players to achieve the milestone. TCU had four players score in double figures, with Madison Conner adding 11 points, while Taylor Bigby chipped in with 10. The Horned Frogs, who lead the nation in assists per game, dished out 22 more on Sunday.
In the 59-point rout of Texas State, TCU connected on 16 three-pointers and had five players score in double figures for the second consecutive outing, led by Conner and Prince with 12 points apiece. TCU shot 54 percent (35-65) in a game it led for all but 18 seconds.
The Horned Frogs return to action at home on Nov. 21 against Incarnate Word. Following a Nov. 24 home game against Idaho State, TCU will get a major early season test when it plays Notre Dame on Nov. 29 in the Cayman Islands Classic.
