A surprise goalkeeper merry-go-round involving Arsenal and Juventus has been speculated in the media over the last 48 hours.
Gunners no.1
The central figure in the shot-stopper rumours comes in the form of Bernd Leno.
German international Leno has of course endured an altogether hit and miss campaign between the posts at the Emirates.
On the back of the emergence of Emi Martinez over the closing months of last season, Mikel Arteta was left with a major decision to make regarding his goalkeeping situation last summer.
In the end, the Arsenal boss opted to stand by Leno, with Martinez having been shipped to Aston Villa.
Whilst the latter has since dazzled, though, Leno, particularly of late, has looked concerningly mistake prone.
A recent mishap versus Everton proved particularly costly, with sections of the Gunners fanbase, in turn, having called into question whether sticking with the German for the long-term was the right call.
That is an absolute shocker from Leno.

Not only that, but Leno himself, during an interview last month, appeared to throw his future in the English capital into doubt, in explaining:
‘I don’t know what will come in the future, but I’m open to everything.’
‘Maybe for a new adventure or to stay at Arsenal.’
Szczesny return?
And such developments, over the last couple of days, have begun to manifest into widespread rumours on the transfer market.
As per football.london, Leno ‘could be a surprise Arsenal departure this summer’, amid suggestions that the German has already informed those in a position of power at the Emirates of his intention to move on.

As such, if their no.1 does, in the end, opt to seek out an exit, Mikel Arteta and co. will of course be forced to find a replacement.
And one such individual who could soon become available is none other than ex-Gunners shot-stopper Wojciech Szczesny.
Mounting reports in the Italian media suggest that Juventus are closing on a free agent swoop for AC Milan star Gianluigi Donnarumma.
Before the Bianconeri can push through a move, though, they will need to find a new home for current first-choice Szczesny. This should not prove a problem if claims of the Pole boasting a host of suitors from the Premier League prove true, though.
Could one such interested party be Arsenal?
