New York Red Bulls 'finalizing deal' for former Everton midfielder

New York Red Bulls are reportedly ‘finalzing a deal’ for former Everton midfielder Jean-Philippe Gbamin, according to Tom Bogert.

The Ivory Coast international recently became a free agent after disastrous spell with Toffees comprised of freak injuries, and unsuccessful loan spells, yet it was only just over four years ago that the midfielder was targeted by the likes of Tottenham and Arsenal.

According to the report, Gbamin could be set to reunite with former coach Sandro Schwarz in MLS with the Red Bulls as a designated player.

The Red Bulls currently sit fourth in the Eastern Conference as they begin Leagues Cup 2024 in the coming days.
