The Philadelphia 76ers continue to flounder. With their blowout loss against the Denver Nuggets last night, they are now 15-27. It only gets worse.

The Sixers are entering arguably the hardest part of their schedule, as some of their upcoming opponents are the Cleveland Cavaliers, Boston Celtics, Sacramento Kings, and the Nuggets again. Also, no one knows when Joel Embiid will come back or when he’ll be healthy again.

With everything that’s gone wrong, and how much worse it could get, PhillyVoice’s Adam Aaronson revealed which two Sixers he believes could be traded before the NBA trade deadline.

“There are plenty of teams looking for depth at the five, and that could make Andre Drummond an option for some buyers,” Aaronson wrote. “… If a team still views him as an elite backup center despite his poor production this season, the Sixers should be very open to making a deal.”

There have been trade ideas sending Drummond to contenders, though he would probably have a smaller role than the fill-in starter he has been with Embiid unavailable.

Aaronson revealed why the Sixers may look to trade one of the Sixers’ better standouts this season.

“It has become well-documented that the Sixers will be limited in what they can offer Guerschon Yabusele in free agency this summer, and that has led many to believe the team will shop the 29-year-old who has starred in every role this season.”

Yabusele has been one of the better surprises for Philadelphia the season, but it hasn’t helped the Sixers reach their goals. While tanking looks like the best option for Philadelphia at this point, if they sell off Drummond and/or Yabusele, it would signal that they believe just that.

It’s not too late, but the Sixers are running out of time. With the trade deadline weeks away, Philadelphia may be better off cutting the cord now rather than later.
