Michigan State football has extended an offer to a prospect in the 2026 recruiting class on Sunday.

Jakob Weatherspoon, a 5-foot-11, 170 pound athlete from Avon, Ohio was the recipient of the offer from the Spartans. He is a 4-star prospect according to the 247Sports composite rankings.

As of now, Ohio State holds the crystal ball lead for the prospect, but he holds additional power conference offers from Cincinnati, Duke, Illinois, Michigan, Northwestern, Notre Dame, Penn State, Pitt, Syracuse and Wisconsin.

Michigan State will look to get Weatherspoon on campus for a visit. The offer came from MSU’s DB coaches, which can make one assume he will be recruited as a defensive back prospect.
