Syndergaard’s second rehab start with St. Lucie was cut short on Tuesday, as the Mets announced that he was removed “for precautionary reasons due to right elbow soreness.”

Before Carrasco’s rehab was paused, he was expected to return at some point in May. But things have been slowed down. Carrasco had thrown six innings in simulated games before the slowdown.
