The LA Galaxy have reportedly ‘agreed a deal’ to sign Columbus forward Christian Ramirez just days after Crew superstar Cucho Hernandéz departed for Real Betis.

Colombian outfit América de Cali had been pushing to sign Ramirez this winter, but according to MLS insider Tom Bogert, it is the Galaxy who have swooped in to bring the SoCal native back home.

Ramirez racked up 14 goal contributions in the 2024 campaign, despite playing second fiddle to the star attacking duo of Hernandéz and Diego Rossi.

After former Galaxy striker Dejan Joveljić moved to Sporting Kansas City last week, the reigning MLS Cup champions found themselves in need of a starting number nine — up steps Ramirez.

With the potential departure of yet another key attacking piece, the onus is now in the Crew to go out and add to the top of their lineup before the 2025 campaign kicks off in less than three weeks.
