USA TODAY High School Sports is heading to the trenches for a look at one of the most exciting groups in football: the offensive lineman.

While the skilled positions get most of the spotlight, the O-lineman are often the true stars of the show, the backbone of a team’s offense and overall dominance.

Need proof? Just look at the NFL, where over 20% of the draft picks are either interior linemen or offensive tackles, making them the second-most drafted position group over the past decade (trailing only defensive linemen.

That type of prowess carries its weight at the high school level, too, where having a superior offensive line can oftentimes quickly transform a game into a blowout. And these top-tier pillars of the trenches can make that scenario a reality.

Here are the offensive linemen from the class of 2025 we’re keeping an eye on this season…

10. Devin Harper, Calvary Baptist Academy (Shreveport, La.)

Kicking off the list is an absolute beast out of Calvary Baptist in Louisiana. At 6-foot-5, 300 pounds, Devin Harper has been a coveted lineman on the recruiting trail, with LSU winning out on the 4-star tackle. His strength and impressive quickness create a barrage of pancake blocks and pulls that flatten the defender.

9. Jaylen Gilchrist, Salem High School (Va.)

The Virginia Beach standout is a massive talent who can handle the guard and tackle position at a high level. The 6-foot-4, 290-pound prospect has been on the radar of top college programs, too, with South Carolina currency in the prediction lead over powerhouses like Alabama and Georgia, as well as Virginia and Penn State.

8. Lamont Rogers, Horn High School (Mesquite, Texas)

Rogers is an absolute unit, standing at nearly 6-foot-7 and weighing 311 pounds. His game film is full of spectacular pancake blocks that demonstrate his power, and while there are still a ton of developmental aspects to unravel, his frame and athleticism have top programs like Oklahoma, LSU, and Florida State on the scouting push.

7. Ty Haywood, Denton Ryan (Texas)

The second Texas high school standout on the list, Haywood is an absolute force on the offensive line. Quick movement off the ball and tormenting size (6-foot-5, 285 pounds) that will only progress and mature. The Friday night lights in the Lone Star State always provide plenty of star power, and while the o-line might be an overlooked spot, Haywood is certainly one to keep an eye on.

5. Andrew Babalola, Blue Valley Northwest High School (Overland Park, Kan.)

Michigan? Auburn? Missouri?

Babalola, the top-rated OT in Kansas, is another talent with plenty of program saying for his service at the next level. For one more high school season, though, we’ll watch Babalola demonstrate why scouts have him as a 5-star recruit.

3. Seuseu Alofaituli, Bishop Gorman (Las Vegas, Nev.)

The Gaels go back to back as we turn the O-line spotlight on Seuseu Alofaituli. Like his teammate, he’s gotten the attention of Alabama, while also picking up recruiting looks from Miami (Fla.), Texas A&M and Oregon.

2. Michael Fasusi, Lewisville (Texas)

Fasusi is perhaps one of the best all-around athletes on this list. The 6-foot-5 talent’s participation in other sports, like track and even soccer, has helped create the 5-star beast that has schools like Missouri, Oklahoma, Texas, and Texas A&M taking notice.

1B. Solomon Thomas, Raines (Jacksonville, Fla.)

There was no way to make a legitimate decision on the final two on this list, so we split them at the top spot accordingly. First up is Solomon Thomas, the Florida State commit who has been one of the more intriguing interior guys to watch. He’s got all the makings of a future NFL prospect—a talent noticed by SEC powers like Alabama, Florida and LSU—and is a must-watch highlight reel heading into his final high school season.

1A. David Sanders Jr., Providence Day School (Charlotte, N.C.)

David Sanders Jr. is about as close to an all-encompassing O-line scouting cliche as you’ll get in the class of 2025. He’s that good—tangibles and skill set for the win! At 6-foot-6, he’s got the size and strength to pulverize opponents on the run block while adjusting quite well in a sub-300-pound frame to dominate the pass blocking. Recruiting-wise, it’s basically every team, with top hits including Tennessee, Georgia, Ohio State, Clemson, and Alabama.
