The North Carolina Tar Heels basketball program will be battling a few blue bloods in a recruitment for a rising power forward in the 2025 recruiting class.

Hubert Davis and the Tar Heels offered four-star power forward Nikolas Khamenia back in May, officially entering the recruitment. But the talented recruit has drawn a lot of interest since and now UNC’s rival is getting involved too.

The Duke Blue Devils have officially offered the talented recruit, he announced on Sunday night, closing out a busy month of June for college basketball recruiting.  With Duke offering,  Khamenia has 23 offers in his recruitment including some big programs involved.

With UNC, Duke, Kansas, and UCLA offering, the only blue blood not to offer is Kentucky. But that could change soon.

The 6-foot-8, 210-pound Khamenia also has offers from Oregon, Notre Dame, Arizona, Michigan, Ohio State, and Louisville among others. He’s a rising recruit that is seeing his stock go higher and higher due to his play at recent events.

Khamenia is ranked No. 29 nationally, No. 9 power forward and the No. 3 prospect in the state of California per the 247Sports recruiting rankings for 2025.

UNC has yet to land a commitment for the 2025 recruiting class but now it appears as if they are gearing up for a big battle with some blue bloods in this recruitment.
