Brighton see off Brentford

Brighton faced off with Brentford in a Premier League clash on Saturday afternoon.

The Seagulls started the campaign well, picking up wins over Burnley, Watford and then Cardiff in the League Cup.

However, before the international break, the south coast outfit would lose 2-0 vs Everton.

But, thanks to a late strike from Leandro Trossard, Brighton were back to winning ways on Saturday, earning a 1-0 win over the Bees.

Potter’s concering Brighton update

Following the tie, Graham Potter has provided some concerning updates.

Adam Webster was taken off during the first 45 on Saturday, with Potter confirming that the defender has a hamstring injury:

“Adam Webster had a hamstring injury so we will see how it settles down in the next 24-48 hours.”

The Brighton boss then confirmed that Pascal Gross and Enock Mwepu are both in isolation:

“Pascal Gross is self-isolating, the same as Enock Mwepu.”

Brighton now look set for an anxious wait to see if said trio will be available for their next clash with Leicester City on Sunday, September 19th.

Elsewhere, Marc Cucurella made his Brighton debut on Saturday and posted the following message post-game:

Very happy with my first three Premier League points at Brighton! With this team effort there will be much more to come! Looking forward on working hard day by day and introducing myself as quick as possible into the Team. Thanks for your support!
