A two-time heavyweight champion, Anthony Joshua is one of the most recognizable names in boxing. In the ring, Joshua has provided fans with memories that will last a lifetime. Outside of it, his influence has reached far beyond what any other boxer has been able to accomplish over the years.

Turning pro in 2013, Joshua is a former British and Commonwealth champion. He has held the IBF, WBA, and WBO titles twice. And while he has recently lost two fights in a row to Oleksandr Usyk, Joshua’s name still holds plenty of value.

With a 2-3 record in his last five fights, Joshua returns to action against American Jermaine Franklin on April 1. The fight takes place inside the O2 Arena in London, a venue that Joshua hasn’t performed in since 2016.

Should AJ secure victory, then his attention could turn to old foe Dillian Whyte, who he defeated via seventh-round knockout in 2015. Ultimately, though, Joshua will have crossed hairs locked on a third world championship and the financial compensation that comes with it.

The Sporting News looks into how Joshua has accumulated his fortune and where he stands among the wealthiest and most influential athletes in the world.
