The Toyota Center in Houston hosts UFC 262 on Saturday headlined by Michael Chandler versus Charles Oliveira for the lightweight title Khabib Nurmagomedov vacated when he retired in October

The vacant belt sat idle while UFC president Dana White tried his best to lure Nurmagomedov back to the cage, but after finally realizing the undefeated Dagestani wouldn’t budge, the Chandler-Oliveira fight was set.

The 35-year-old Chandler signed with the UFC in September after a long run in Bellator in which he won — and lost — the lightweight championship three times. His UFC career got off to a memorable start when he knocked out Dan Hooker in the first round of their co-main event bout at UFC 257 in January. Coming in to Saturday’s fight, BetMGM has Chandler as a +110 underdog, with Oliveira a narrow favorite at -130.

Oliveira followed a much different path to the fight for the undisputed lightweight title as his UFC career began Aug. 1, 2010 with a Submission of the Night bonus win over Darren Elkins. “Do Bronx” is 30-8 overall and has racked up a 19-8 record in the Octagon with 14 of his UFC wins coming via submission, a UFC record. The Brazilian is +200 at BetMGM to beat Chandler by submission.
