No. 20 seed Pablo Carreno Busta takes on No. 12 seed Denis Shapovalov in the quarterfinals of the US Open 2020.

The Spaniard has his sights set on reaching his second US Open semifinal after he clocked up his 100th hard-court win in Round 4 following Novak Djokovic’s default.

Shapovalov became the first Canadian man to reach the US Open quarterfinals with his Round 4 victory over David Goffin. He comes into the match looking to avenge his straight sets defeat to Carreno Busta in Round 4 of the US Open 2017. The 21-year-old Canadian currently trails their head-to-head record 1-3, but is a very different player to the 18-year-old who narrowly lost that match in three tiebreak sets.

Can Carreno Busta reproduce the stunning tennis he displayed against Djokovic before their match was cut short? Or will Shapovalov’s all-action attack prove too much?
