With the Golden State Warriors set to begin their final road trip of the season, the team could be without one of their top contributors off the bench.

After an ugly loss to the Dallas Mavericks, the Warriors could be without Kelly Oubre Jr. for Thursday’s contest against the Minnesota Timberwolves due to left wrist soreness.

On Tuesday. Oubre Jr. tallied 10 points on 2-of-10 shooting from the field with three rebounds and a steal in 23 minutes in the Warriors’ 133-103 loss to the Mavericks at Chase Center.

After missing five games with an earlier wrist injury, Oubre Jr. shifted to a role off the bench, with Kent Bazemore remaining in the starting lineup. Oubre Jr. has played well in the second unit, averaging 17 points on 43.9% shooting from the floor with 5.4 rebounds in 29.1 minutes off the bench.

If Oubre Jr. is sidelined, the Warriors will have Jordan Poole, Mychal Mulder and Juan Toscano-Anderson as lead options in the second unit against the Timberwolves on Thursday.

While the Warriors could be without Oubre Jr., the rotation will be getting back Bazemore. After missing three games in the NBA’s COVID-19 health and safety protocol, Bazemore is expected to return to the starting lineup on Thursday against the Timberwolves. Prior to his absence, Bazemore started the previous seven games averaging 11.4 points on 46.8% shooting from the floor with 4.4 rebounds, two assists and 1.7 steals in 27.6 minutes per game.
