Manchester United face Fulham at Old Trafford on Sunday for a place in the quarterfinals of the FA Cup.

The Red Devils secured a morale-boosting 3-2 win over Ipswich Town in the Premier League on Wednesday despite being reduced to 10 men late in the first half.

Head coach Ruben Amorim will hope his side can build on that result and keep alive their chances of winning another domestic trophy — and potentially qualify for European football next season — by defeating a Fulham side they beat 1-0 away in a league meeting in January.

Marco Silva’s team sit ninth in the top flight and remain in the hunt for European qualification via a league finish, but the opportunity to go deep in this tournament and potentially reach a first final in 50 years means they will certainly take this visit to the northwest seriously.

Man United vs. Fulham lineups, predicted starting 11, team news

Patrick Dorgu will serve the first of his three-game ban this weekend following his red card in the win over Ipswich. That will likely see Diogo Dalot switch to left wing-back and Noussair Mazraoui start on the right.

A few United players looked tired and nursing knocks after that battling victory, so Amorim may need to make some changes. Joshua Zirkzee did not look comfortable when he went off, having landed awkwardly earlier in the half, and he may be a doubt. Casemiro or Christian Eriksen could come into midfield, with Bruno Fernandes pushed further forward to replace the Dutchman.

Otherwise, United’s injury picture looks largely unchanged. It still seems too early for Luke Shaw, Kobbie Mainoo or Mason Mount to return, while Amad DialloLisandro Martinez and Jonny Evans are definitely out. Goalkeeper Altay Bayindir could get a start again in the cup if he can recover from an unspecified injury.

Man United predicted lineup (3-4-2-1, right to left): Onana (GK) — De Ligt, Maguire, Yoro — Mazraoui, Ugarte, Casemiro, Dalot — Fernandes, Garnacho — Hojlund

Injured: Martinez (knee), Amad (ankle), Mainoo (muscle), Mount (thigh), Shaw (undisclosed), Evans (back), Bayindir (undisclosed, doubt), Zirkzee (knock, doubt).
Suspended: Dorgu (red card).

Sasa Lukic‘s ban for 10 Premier League yellow cards only applies to their upcoming league game, so he is clear to play at Old Trafford.

Fulham are still without Kenny Tete, Harry Wilson and Reiss Nelson, who all have long-term injuries. Emile Smith Rowe picked up a knock to his ankle recently which forced him out of their last match, and his status for this game is up in the air.

Silva is likely to make some changes from the win at Wolves. Antonee Robinson should come back in, while Raul Jimenez and Alex Iwobi could return to the lineup in place of Adama Traore and Rodrigo Muniz.

After success using a 3-4-3 system at Wolves, Silva may stick with that formation to match up against Amorim’s preferred setup.

Fulham predicted lineup (3-4-2-1, right to left): Leno (GK) — Diop, Andersen, Bassey — Castagne, Lukic, Berge, Robinson — Iwobi, Pereira — Jimenez.

Injured: Nelson (thigh), Wilson (ankle/foot), Tete (knee), Smith Rowe (ankle, doubt).
Suspended: None.
